Appearance: Mao is an itty-bitty, just-barely-pubescent demonling with spiky white hair, pointed ears, and slitted red eyes. He wears thick round glasses, sneakers, a red jacket (as a cape), and shouta shorts. He does not believe in good hygiene practices and this fact is most likely easily apparent.
Cause of Death: Got too sad and blew up the universe (aka the Human World ending).
Impact of Death: It’s not so much the dying as the thing where he was upset enough to blow up the universe. Due to the circumstances leading up to his death, he’ll be bitter and mistrustful, particularly toward humans and heroes.

The Disgaea multiverse is comprised of a variety of parallel-universe Netherworlds, one of which is the Nether Institute Evil Academy. Essentially, it’s a school for demons, by demons, with a campus so huge that it spans the entire world. At Evil Academy, teachers refuse to teach, and students refuse to go to class, and some of the classrooms are filled with lava, and hordes of Mexican orcs roam the halls.
Mao is the son of Evil Academy's Overlord/Dean, and he lives in a remodeled bathroom on campus. He is basically your eccentric genius (read: creepy mouth-breather) type. He takes particular pride in his 1.8 million EQ, which is the standard measurement of evil genius and totally not something he made up. Maybe. However, his brilliant plans are very frequently so brilliant as to be downright stupid, and more than a little bit weird. This is because he is more connected with anime, manga, and video games than anything resembling reality, even the warped reality of the Netherworld that he lives in. He's fond of scientific “experimentation” as well and loves nothing more to make disturbing modifications to people’s bodies.
But he's not all mouth-breathing mad science creeper! Mao has strength, skills, and an inexplicable main character charisma. In the game’s normal ending, he learns how to trust people, make friends, and rule Netherworlds. In the ending that I am pulling him from, however, he wigs out and destroys the universe. OOPS.
At one point in the course of the game, Mao learns that his trusted butler has not only been torturing and brainwashing him for the past 200 years, but is actually the human Super Hero who murdered his father. Mao is so furious that he decides to destroy the Human World, much to the chagrin of his entire party. In the Human World ending, Mao’s dark side takes over, and Almaz - the guy who serves as Mao's in-game bromance - ends up dying while everyone was paying too much attention to Mao's temper tantrums to even notice. Mao remains undeterred in his desire to destroy mankind, and when his party members try to stop them, he just beats them up and keeps going.
Even though his “destruction” of the the Human World turns out to be pretty harmless (some of his nefarious deeds involve tying everyone’s shoes together and replacing stop signs with yields), the Super Hero puts out a smear campaign on him, and his ex-party blames him for Almaz's death. When even that stops him from going completely off his kilter, the Super Hero kills his last remaining friend. At that point, Mao snaps completely and wipes him - along with everything else - out of existence.

Mao will be toned way, way, way down to normal fighter power levels. The ability to destroy universes with the powers of his tears: right out. At base he has nice, well-rounded stats, and is proficient with both swords and ice magic. He’ll be able to pull out silly demony things like eye lasers and such, but not with any great destructive capacity. Aside from fighting skills, he has no other super powers of note.
